Tutorial made with PSP XIII

Step 1 : The background of the tag

- We're going to make a calendar that can be used as a wallpaper for your screen.

- If you want your wallpaper to be adapted to your screen, you need to know your screen resolution.

Here is the way to find out about it :

- Right click on your screen. Click on properties if you have Windows XP or on Screen resolution if you have Windows 7 :

- Here is what you may get :

1 - Open a new transparent image which has the size of your screen.

- I have opened a new image of 1024 pixels by 768 pixels.

- If your dimensions are different from mine, you will have to adapt the tutorial ! ( resize the tubes, place them differently etc )

2- Selections / select all.

3 - Open the 'image "BackGotic.JPG" by JHanna or an image of your choice and copy it.

4- Paste it INTO THE SELECTION.

- Deselect all.

5- Open the tube "deco_1.png" and copy it.

6- Paste it as a new layer on to your tag.

7- Place it the way shown below (If you have the same dimensions as mine!) :

- Effects / Image effects / Offset as below :

8- Open the tube "deco_2.png" and copy it.

9- Paste it as a new layer on to your tag.

10- Place it that way :

- Effects / Image effects / Offset as below :

11- Open the tube "deco_3.png" and copy it.

12- Paste it as a new layer on to your tag.

13- Place it that way :

- Effects / Image effects / Offset as below :

 - I have set the mode of that layer on to Luminance legacy .

14- Open the calendar grid "fev 13 arial.png" or another grid of your choice and copy it.

15- Paste it as a new layer on to your tag.

- I have resized that grid at 55 % (Resize all the layers NOT checked).

14- Place it that way :

- Effects / Image effects / Offset as below :

15- I have set the mode of that layer on to Luminance legacy   and lowered its opacity at 52.

16- Effects / plugins / Mura' seamless / Emboss at alpha default.

Step 2 : The scene

1- Open the tube "kTs_4121gu.png" or a tube of your choice and copy it.

2- Paste it as a new layer on to your tag.

3- Place it that way :

- Effects / Image effects / Offset as below :

4- Layers / arrange / Move down.

5- Activate the layer on top of the pile (your calendar).

6- Open the tube "AAAbibichefantasy81.png"or a tube of your choice and copy it.

7- Paste it as a new layer on to your tag.

8- With your eraser tool or your rectangular selection tool, delete the watermark.

9- Place that tube in the bottom left hand side corner of your tag.

(My tube has already got a drop shadow. You may wish to add one on your tube).

10- I have slighted modified the colours of that tube so that it matches my background

- Here is what I did :

- Adjust / Hue and saturation / Hue map as below :

11- Open the tube "deco_4.png" or a similar tube of your choice and copy it.

12- Paste it as a new layer on to your tag.

I have set the mode of that layer on to Luminance legacy

13- With your move tool, move that tube against the left hand side of your tag.

14- Layers / Duplicate.

15- Image / Mirror.

16- Apply your signature

- Make sure everything is at the right place.

1 - Image / add some symmetrical borders of 1 or 2 pixels with a colour of your choice (white for me).
