Thank you for putting a link to this tutorial, whenever you display your realization of that tag on a website, on a group or in a mail ! ************************** You'll find some versions of that tag in my gallery HERE ************ To make that tag, you'll need a tube which personifies the theme you'll choose ( I chose Freedom) , a picture of a scenery and a few other tubes or brushes to decorate your tag You'll find the tubes of the woman and of the birds , the picture of the scenery, the fonts and the brushes I used, enclosed in the zip file down below : *It is forbidden to suppress watermarks on the material provided , to alter, mist or rename the tubes in order to respect the work of the tubers - The nice tube of the woman is by Margrit Henriksen The other material has been found on the web Open your Psp, open the tubes, the picture and your brushes, duplicate them, close the originals and minimize the copies for now. Now, we're ready to start ! ************* 1- Open a new transparent image of 700 x 500 pixels 2- Flood fill this image with a dark colour of your tube (I chose dark brown : 3b292b) 3- Add a new raster layer and flood fill it with a light colour (I chose white) 4-Rasters / new mask layer / from picture / find the picture of the scenery you've chosen / check source luminance Merge the group 5- I've changed the blend mode of that layer to exclusion but you can choose another mode or colorize the layer so you get a colour that suits you. 6- Open the tube of the woman and resize it if necessary I've resized my tube at 65 % (resize all the layers) and Adjust / sharpen 7-Copy the tube and paste as a new layer on your tag. Save the tube for later ! If you 're using my tube, you'll have to place the tube so the ends of the ribbon touch the edges of your tag 8-Go back on the layer of the scenery ( raster 2) Add a new raster layer and flood fill it with white 9-Rasters / new mask layer / from picture / find the tube you used on line 6/ check source luminance Merge the group You can move that layer a little bit on the right so it shows better the white shadow 10- Go to the top layer Open the tubes of the birds, copy them both and paste them as new layers Put them as shown on my tag or wherever you want them to be ! Instead of the birds you can choose other tubes you prefer I've changed the blend mode of the birds to difference but you may prefer another mode ! 11- Set your foreground with a contrasting colour ( I chose red ) Add a new layer and apply one of your brushes on the tag If you want to use another brush, don't forget to add a new layer so you can move each brush separately 12- Add a new layer Close your foreground and set your background with white , (or another colour if you prefer) and write a little message with the fonts Beau rivage, size 28, thickness 1 or with another fancy fonts of your choice I wrote "As light" on a first layer and "as a feather " on a second layer I changed the blend mode of these two layers to luminance legacy but I'll leave to you to chose the mode you prefer ! 13- Add a new layer Write the first letter of your word (here F for Freedom )with the fonts Beau rivage, size 100, thickness 1 14- Add as many layers as you have letters in your word and write all the other letters of your word; use the same fonts but size 80 I wrote the letters e and o with another fonts ( eras light Itc) so they are easier to read Place these letters, to your liking, with the moving tool 15- I didn't put any drop shadow to my letters to give an impression of lightness but it's up to you to add one or not 16- Add a new layer and apply your signature Image / add new symetrical borders of 1 pixel with a colour of your choice Save as a jpeg file ********** That's it !! You've done it !! If you 've enjoyed doing my tutorial, it would be nice to write a few words in my guest book ! If you 've had the slightest problem, please, send me a mail so I can see to the problem ! Tutorial translated on the 25th of july 2008 ************
